Transform and Blaksox Project Coordinator

SALARY: £16,800 (30,000 FTE)

Hours: 3 days per week (21 hours)

Duration: 6 months

Location: London

PURPOSE OF THE POST

To support the project team that is leading on the development of a new alliance between Transform and Blaksox. The role will help to develop a Black-led resource that ensures the voices of ACH communities are heard regarding the relationship between structural racism and drug policy. The post will lead on developing the infrastructure needed to ensure widespread community engagement and the production of key assets (regular podcasts, public events, a monthly e-newsletter, a supporter database)

MAIN DUTIES

Community Engagement

  • Convene, facilitate and help organise consultation events (physical and online)

  • Organise and facilitate meetings with key stakeholders and community members

  • Organise training sessions as appropriate

Communications development

  • Work with project team to produce digital outputs, social media assets and a regular newsletter to promote community engagement and support

  • Support the production of video content and a series of podcasts

  • Help identify media opportunities and develop campaign initiatives

General responsibilities

  • Sharing learning with other staff, volunteers, activists and trustees at both Transform and Blaksox

  • Attending meetings, events and conferences where appropriate

  • Contributing towards other aspects of Transform and Blaksox’s work as required, commensurate with the scale and general nature of the post.
